Just posted on Toms Guide: a review of the Sense 3D Scanner, from 3D Systems.
[thumb link=”true”]http://www.tomsguide.com/us/sense-3d-scanner-test,review-1978.html[/thumb]If you have a 3D printer, you have probably downloaded and printed a few objects, and then moved on to building your own — only to realize that 3D modeling is difficult. Often, it is easier to model an object in clay and then scan it, or just scan an existing object. That’s what the $400 Sense 3D scanner from 3D Systems does: scans an object and creates a 3D model that can be modified on a computer and printed from a 3D printer or online printing service.
Hello, I have a davinci aio 3d printer, the printer is not bad how ever the scanner stinks. Is there any other scanning software out there that will work with the davinci for better scanning quality. If you know of any, I would appreciate a reply. Thanks Steve
Steve, unfortunately I am not aware of any other software that works with the DaVinci AiO scanner.
Hello! I also have the same printer. I am looking for a generic scanning software also. If you should find one that works, Please shoot me a message so I can get the scanner part up and runnin. XYZ has a hand held scanner that is suppose to be good, I have been hammering away at them to let me try the software and see if it will work on the AIO. So far no luck. Good Luck.
Best Regards
Steve
